Beauty favourites and disapointments - September

Hi!! I'd just like to say thank you for all your lovely comments, i read and appreciate all of them :D

So each month i will be sharing with you the products i have been enjoying and the products that just didn't do it for me.

LOVE

Too Faced Shadow Insurance
As far as eye primers go i think this is one of the best. Very light and liquidy(is that a word?) but seriously, your eyeshadow will not budge with this under it. It also makes your eyeshadow look a lot more pretty than if you put it on bare eyes. There's nothing not to love.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow
I have this in blonde, which I'd describe more as a light brown so  if you have super light hair this might look a little harsh. Other than that this is perfect. It's easy to use and you get a perfect brow pretty much every time. Also you can skip the brow gel as this will keep your brows in place until you decide to take it off, which may take a little elbow grease!

Revlon Photoready Primer
Such a lovely smooth primer than makes your skin feel super soft and keeps your makeup looking lovely all day. What's not to love?

DISLIKE!

Soap and Glory Mighty Mouth
This claims to be a super moisturizing lip balm that plumps lips at the same time. I'd describe this as more of a slightly sticky, shiny lip gloss. It feels smooth on the lips, but its definitely more sticky than moisturizing. As for the plumping, its slightly minty but no plumping action for me. Don't worry Soap and Glory i still love you lots!

Benefit They're Real Mascara
I know! Shock horror! The bloggers fave. It just doesn't work for me, I've tried and tried but i need about 10 coats of this to look good. I use the Maybelline Falsies and i get instant massive lashes with one coat. It could be that I've never got on with plastic applicator wands, who knows? I use this to separate my lashes if they look a bit clumpy haha!

LOVE/HATE?
I love this eyeliner. It has a fine felt tip applicator which is easy to use and give a perfect winged eyeliner almost every time. Sounds great doesn't it? If you even have the slightest watery eye, this is going to smudge, badly! I can't wear this on a breezy day as my eyes water and then i get home and my eyeliner has pretty much gone or down my face. Other than that it's a lovely product.

Have you tried any of these?

Sophie x

  2. I actually dislike the Revlon primer but I guess it all comes down to your own skin and how it reacts. I just can't see or feel much of a difference for the life of me :D
