Cetaphil

Today i have a little review of the Cetaphil cleanser for you. Okay i admit it might not look like the most exiting product, but this little squirty bottle has saved my skin.

During autumn/winter last year my skin started to break out quite badly and i had a good number of spots appearing daily. I've always had a spot here and there but nothing like this! At the time i was using the well loved Liz Earle cleanse and polish, which I'm not blaming for my breakouts, but changing cleansers really turned my skin around.

After Christmas i was really getting fed up with my skin and had a little Google, as you do, to try and find something that would help that i hadn't already tried. I then came across something called Cetaphil, I'd never heard of it before.

Basically, Cetaphil is a really gentle cleanser, with no fragrance or soap and is supposed to be best for people with dry or sensitive skin. Now i wouldn't consider my skin to be either dry or sensitive, but i thought i'd give it a go anyway as it wasn't too expensive at £8.9 and I'd heard good things about it from people that had suffered with acne. As i continued to use it twice daily i saw a major difference in my skin. I don't think this product does anything significant to get rid of spots but i was barely getting any new ones appearing. For the first time in months my skin eventually looked spotless again!

I've used this for around 9 months and I still use this daily and see the same results. I still get one or two spots but i couldn't live without this product now. I has also helped to keep my skin from getting too oily or dry and the texture of my skin is better than ever.

So if you are currently battling with breakouts i urge you to give it a try.

Have you tried Cetaphil before? What cleanser is your favourite?

  2. Thanks for the review! Would you say it would be effective for someone who suffers from quite severe breakouts? It's just that I've heard it's quite a gentle cleanser.

By the way, I love your blog! xx

    1. I don't think it will get rid of severe breakouts completely but I think it will help quite a lot and stop new breakouts from happening :)

  4. My skin has been insane recently. I have dry skin and I think this may save me! I've been using the tea tree oil range during winter, but now its getting hotter, I need to swap to something nicer for my skin. Thank you for this post!
