Hello and summer favourites!

Hello! Welcome to Makeup By Sophie, my new blog. I have blogged previously and the focus was mainly fashion. As i am currently studying media makeup and wish to become a makeup artist, i have decided to start a new blog, focusing on makeup and beauty.

I'm going to kick things off by doing my summer favourites, all the products i have loved throughout summer!

Marc Jacobs Eau So Fresh

Okay, one of the main reasons i bought this was the packaging. How pretty? But the smell is even better, i can't describe perfumes so i wont. All i can say is if you want a fresh, floral scent, this is for you. So perfect for the summer months, but that wont stop me wearing this throughout autumn and winter.

The Body Shop All in one Instablur

 If you want a nice all round primer then this is great. Smooths the skin, giving you an even texture. Your foundation will glide on perfectly and stay on for a good while. Saying that, the blur bit is questionable.

Soap and glory Supercat liner

 I love this eyeliner! It's one of those felt tip liners that is super easy to use and a great easy alternative to a liquid liner. Even though I'm training to be a makeup artist, I'm no expert at eyeliner, but i get perfect results almost every time i use this.

Barry M Gelly Nail paint

 My nail polish collection includes brands such as nails inc and opi, yet i would recommend the Barry M Gelly polishes over more expensive brands any day. These polishes have a lovely shiny finish and stay on without chipping longer than most other polishes. My top 3 from summer are, grapefruit, prickly pear and sugar apple.

Benefit Rockateur blush

 I actually got this Benefit blusher for Christmas but i have loved it all through spring and summer. I'm sorry i have no photo of the blush itself, if you want a more in depth post on Rockateur then let me know!. Rockateur is a lovely shimmery rose gold colour that is just beautiful.

YSL lipsticks

 After MAC, YSL lipsticks have to be my favourite. The first one i have loved is the Vouge volupte shine Corail Irredescent, this colour is a lovely coral red and super glossy and beautiful. The second is the Rouge pur couture in Rose Stiletto, not very summery but this has an amazing satin finish.

Primark floral crown

Not a beauty favourite but how pretty is this Primark floral crown? A lot of the crowns around are quite big and need some confidence to wear, but this one is a lot more subtle.
